The (Crucial) Basics Pre-Purchase Inspection Check (Caravan or Motorhome)
Some regions attract a travel supplement to cover time/vehicle expenses. Please select the vehicle's location from the box below.
The (Crucial) Basics
Designed with budget in mind, we check the crucial basics (the big three!) to give you a solid understanding of the three key elements. We start on the roof, looking for any signs of silicone wear, tear, and damage (a result of New Zealand's harsh UV), including any indication of water ingress.
Then, we enter the vehicle to conduct a comprehensive moisture check of the walls and ceiling using the latest moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to detect any signs of internal water issues and possible rot.
Lastly, we go underneath to inspect the underbody, checking the chassis for rust, and the external under floors for damage or floor rot (this has become a major issue with VTNZ now refusing WOFs/COFs to affected caravans or motorhomes showing rotten wooden floors).
Summary of this inspection:
- Roof and silicone check.
- Full internal moisture check.
- Undercarriage floor rot and chassis (rust/damage).
You can also add an optional PPSR check (highly recommended) and Fresh Water Tank Test to this report, or they are included at a discount in the Ultimate Inspection Check.
TRAVEL SUPPLEMENTS
Please note that we are located in Auckland, so we charge a travel supplement for areas outside the region. This helps cover gas, mileage and travel time. Please ensure you select the correct location for the vehicle in the box above. If in doubt, please contact us.
